Hurricane Irene

So its official we are leaving our home once again to get out of "Irene's" way. It make me sad that we moved in to our home 32 days ago after all the damage from the April 16 Tornados, and now we have to leave. I know we are doing this for our safety but I can help but think that we might not like what we come home to on Sunday night or Monday morning.

Well I just pray that nothing bad happens and that we are all safe here in North Carolina.

CTMH SWAP.

Hello!! Happy Thursday!!!

I hope you are all having a great week! I took some time off couponing! Yes I watched the show Extreme Couponing on TLC and my hubby and I thought we would give it a try and we are not at the level of the people on the show but we have been saving $$ and getting things for free!!!

Anyway's...

I was talking to my friend Grissell on the phone the other day and she brought up that she's been doing Swaps with a couple of her friends, and that one of her friends had some personal things going on and couldn't do the SWAP. She asked if I was interested in joining, and gave me some info about the SWAP so I decided to do it.

Here is what you had to do...
One 12x12 page layout, one card of any size and a gift.
Since there are 8 of us including me I had to make each item x 8 all the same. Each of the girls was assign a specific paper pack from the new CTMH Autumn/Winter 2011 Idea Book. Whatever paper packet we were assign we also had to use a stamp set that goes with that paper pack and also we had to use one or more new accessories that also match go the paper pack. The paper that I was assign to was Dreamin', I had to use the bulk paper available for consultants. The bulk paper pack comes with 24 sheets with double-sided designs.

Here are my projects for the SWAP...

The paper I used: Dreamin'

12x12 layout

Cards. Size 3 1/2 x 6 1/4

To make the folded "ribbon" on the middle of the card I used the top strip of the paper

Here is a close up.

Book Bag and Military Name Tape.

Hi Everyone!!

Here is a quick post of a project me and my hubby did, well mostly my hubby but I did help =). I got my niece Nicole a simple book bag (That's what she asked for) I founf this cute "Military Style" book bag and text her a picture and told her that If she wanted I could change the *STAR* tape to her name. Once she gave me the go ahead I had a Military name tape made for her and here is how it turned out.

Here is the name tag I used.

Here is the finished project. It took longer than we wanted cause first I didn't know how to use the sewing machine and once I thought I new what to do I started to sew and the sewing machine didn't want to work. Once I tried 3 times my hubby thought it was me that didn't know how to use it (which he was right) but it turned out that it was the sewing machine that didn't work so my hubby decided to sew it by hand.

I think it he did a great job!

 He's so awesome! I <3 him!!!
